Medical payment insurance provides coverage, up to your policy limit, for injuries to the driver of your car. It also provides coverage if you are hit by another vehicle while outside of your vehicle. You work with an agent to determine the limit of coverage you want.
We recommend that you purchase medical payments coverage. This is not mandatory coverage and it is different from bodily injury coverage. Bodily injury liability coverage pays for injuries that you cause to others. Medical payments coverage pays for the medical expenses of you and/or your passengers, regardless of who caused the accident.
